Wow!  What an exciting time to be here residing on Planet Earth!  These last two years have been intense and very life altering for many, myself included.  I am feeling very excited about 2008 though many around me are not.  I feel is a time of "do or die".  Be true to yourself and do what you know you're here to do!  Time to live it not just wish it or think about it.  Remember - coming from a place of balance and unattachment, while staying present and centered in love amid seeming chaos will help all.  Happy Holidays to all and may 2008 bring you new beginnings and infinite possibilities!

If you visit here often you may have noticed the many changes made on my site.  They are definitely a reflection of the many changes going on within me in the last few weeks!  I heard a good affirmation yesterday that fits perfectly with the current cosmic energy waves - "I love what comes and I love what goes!".  I also found what I feel is one of the best explanations so far of what True Love is all about - I've added that link to my links page.  Happy ThanksGiving to ALL.

The word that keeps coming to mind is INTENSE.  I feel much change, much fear, much loss, and much letting go on so many levels and I feel this is just the beginning.  I see dominoes falling and picking up speed.  Many people in a state of overwhelm.  Reach out and help how and who you can in what ever way you can.   Decisions made from fear will not benefit anyone.  Now is the time to let go and open our hearts!

Hang in there and remember no matter what appears to be happening in the moment it will all change.  Breathe in and breathe out, embrace and release, then just stand back a bit and have a good giggle at the total craziness of it all.

P.S.  I do not have TV and I just saw the news at my friends house.  My love and prayers go out to all those here in the Southern California area who are being affected by the current fires.

I just saw the movie PEACEFUL WARRIOR and it is very worthwhile to see, I loved it!  By the way one of my all time favorite movies is THE NOTEBOOK!  I'm looking forward to a family gathering soon that has been long over due!  Again I wish all of you a delightful summers end.

More from the book PERFECT BRILLIANT STILLNESS by David Carse!

"...what we think of as individuals...are objects, instruments through which Consciousness, 'cosmic force', 'divine energy' works or flows."
'You' are no more responsible for what occurs through the mind/body you call your 'self' than the flute is responsible for the music played on it by the musician.
So much energy is spent berating oneself for not living up to what one has become convinced her or she should be.  So much guilt.  And an equal amount of energy expended trying to avoid that guilt by faulting someone else for not living up to the same expectations.  It's ridiculous.  The human organism thinks it is God, and takes on the responsibilities of God, but has only the capacity of a created object.  No wonder so many feel so bad about themselves so much of the time."

"Happiness is your natural state.  Pleasure is part of the cycle of desire.  Lasting happiness can only occur when there is a re-orientation, a stepping out of the desire/pleasure cycle entirely.
...when you felt the surge, the bliss, the peace, of real happiness.  At that moment...wasn't there a part of it...that felt like, This is perfect.  Nothing has to be any different.  Everything is just right, just the way it is.
... happiness becomes very simple, a matter not acquiring anything new but simply letting drop the barrier we constantly erect with the pursuit.  ...this happiness is unshakable.  It is not dependent on anything being attained, or anything changing or being in any way different from how it is; it is also not shakable by the fear of something changing; because either way, it is the acceptance of what is."

"Be Still means letting go of that secondary level of thought; opinion, judgement, commentary.  This is what it means to stop."
No thought you have ever had is true.  No opinion you have ever held is right.  Let them go.  No idea you have of yourself, or of who or what you are, has ever corresponded to reality.  Or ever will.  Let them go.
Let it stop.  Let it drop away.  Stop taking it seriously.  Stop taking it at all.  Let it be.  Be still.  Simply stop.  Let grace stop you."

"The only way to freedom is surrender.  You stop pushing, asserting yourself, and illusion stops pushing back, asserting itself.  Stop telling the story, and without that constant input of energy the story collapses.
If you stop, something amazing happens.  The individual stops being involved, stops acting; and amazingly, everything continues to happen.  Without 'you' doing it.  Because, surprise, 'you' were never doing it."

"ESSENCE IS EMPTINESS
EVERYTHING ELSE, ACCIDENTAL.

EMPTINESS BRINGS PEACE TO LOVING.
EVERYTHING ELSE, DISEASE.

IN THIS WORLD OF TRICKERY
EMPTINESS IS WHAT YOUR SOUL WANTS."

RUMI

I am now reading a book by David Carse called PERFECT BRILLIANT STILLNESS.  It is self published and may be challenging to come by.

Here are few quotes taken from his book:

"The universe is on a need-to know basis, and for the most part, we don't need to know."

"One could say that reality is not at all what it seems or how it appears to be, and that nearly the whole human race is operating under a mass hallucination.
... that everything we think of as 'reality is in fact a mind generated fantasy, ...
There is an agreed upon, consensus reality which almost the entire human race shares.  But everybody believing something doesn't make it true."

"Consciousness, Presence, All That Is, is not static; it is the infinite field of pure potentiality, the possibility of everything; spilling over, pouring itself out in pure Being, the beingness of everything; in pure Love, the Love which everything is.
... our ideas of love are much more tainted than we care to admit with concepts and feelings of involvement, specialness, ownership, exclusion, need, caring, guilt."

"Love is not a basis for involvement.  Love is neutrality; is the true absence of judgments, censorship, desires, worry.  It is our True Nature, All That is, Presence.  When there is awareness of being always the Presence of this Perfect, uninvolved, neutral Love, there is "the Peace that passes all understanding"."

The next two quotes are from Rumi:

#1  "Let yourself be silently drawn
by the stronger pull
of what you truly love."

#2  "As salt dissolves in the ocean,
I was swallowed up in You
Beyond doubt or being sure.

Suddenly, here in my chest
A star
Comes out so clear
It draws all stars to it."

The last quote today is from Hafiz:

"Light
will someday split you open;
even if your life is now a cage...
Love will surely burst you wide open
into an unfettered, blooming new galaxy."

Here is a wonderful poem I discovered today while surfing the web:

LOVE'S TIME

"I live in love's time with
no fear of the future
or regrets of the past
Now is all that matters
And present moments that last

A speck of time continuum
Magical moment of here
Live flickering candles
Of love which is near

Genesis of present joys
Destined to deliver
Moments of ecstasy
In life's flowing river

Holding the breaths
Which experience grace
As I look at time's treasures
Of love's perfect face"

I was talking with a good friend about an awareness that came to me the other day.  After I was finished my friend thanked me for the good reminder and suggested that I share this with as many people as I could.  So here it is!

I am fortunate to have come to a place within myself of great trust and little fear.  I got it on a big level that our lives are just like a game!  I'm sure what triggered this were the words of a Jim Morrison DOORS song I heard on the radio that day - "Hello, I love you.  Let me jump in your game".

Our lives are based on perceptions, thoughts, and beliefs.  If you have fun with this and know it's just like a game, you Play!  What this means to me is listening to my inner voice and following it.  If you want to do something, anything, just go for it.  If it doesn't pan out or a few years down the road you want to do something different you choose a new game and start moving in that direction.  It is that easy.  In the end it all works out and you can handle anything that arises.  There is always a new game waiting to be played.

I am very happy to be here now with all the life experiences that come with whatever game I am choosing.  We all do this.  Are you happy with your game?  Why not make it a conscious choice and remember to lighten things up a bit by not taking it all SO seriously or even ourselves for that matter.

As you can tell by now I happen to love quotes!  Here is a great one from Eckart Tolle's THE POWER OF NOW.

"Surrender brings the end of your mind as your master.  The imposter pretending to be you!  The False God.  All judgement and negativity dissovle.  The realm of being that was obscured by the mind opens up.  A great stillness arises within you, an unfathonable sense of peace, and within that peace there is great joy, and with that joy there is love.  And at the inner most core there is the sacred."

Two books that I feel may be very helpful now are:  THE NEW EARTH by Eckert Tolle and, THE MAYAN CODE by Barbara Hand Clow.  The last good movie I saw was FREEDOM WRITERS with Hilary Swank.  Please connect with the earth and all those that you are traveling with and enjoy the wonder of it all.

I've been enjoying a wonderful book by Pema Chaodron - THE PLACES THAT SCARE YOU.  The following are some quotes, thoughts and questions all taken from her book.

"Confess your hidden faults, approach what you find repulsive, help those you think you cannot help, anything you are attached to, let it go, go to places that scare you.'

"In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there a few."

"We can begin to pay attention to our methods of escape.  Each of us has a variety of habitual tactics for avoiding life as it is."

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

"How do I deal with the discomfort that comes from uncertainty and fear?"

"What do I do when I feel anxious and depressed, bored or lonely?"

"How do I react when my beliefs are challenged?"

"Can I integrate peak experiences into the ups and downs of my life, or do I cling to them?"

"Egolessness is a flexible identity.  It manifests as inquisitiveness, adaptability, humor and playfulness.  It is our capacity to relax with not knowing, with not figuring everything out, and with not being sure about who we are, or who anyone else is either."

What is on my mind today is my excitement over what has been on our TV as of late.  I do not have a TV myself at this time but I do try to watch OPRAH  when possible.  What has me excited is Oprah's show about THE SECRET (a movie about The Law of Attraction) and her follow up show.  Just the fact that this was on Oprah and the huge response it got, point to a great shift among the masses and the time has come for changes much needed and embraced!  Hope does indeed abound in apparent darkness.

Two movies I'm highly recommending right now are THE LADY IN THE WATER and THE US VERSES JOHN LENNON.  I would like to extend a warm Thank You for all the wonderful testimonials!

I am so excited and hopeful about the times we are living in.  I know things are going very fast and many horrible things are happening too, but we have been given all the tools and information to create all the good we desire for the world!  As the saying goes "We must begin with ourselves" and we each do make a difference and affect the whole!  We will have peace and love in the world once each one of us has created it in our own lives, relationships, thoughts, words, and actions.

The image I'm getting today is that of a hot air balloon lifting off the ground and the bags of weights being slowly released one by one to give the balloon full flight.  The color I am receiving is yellow.

This is a good time to let your life, your dreams, and your spirit take flight!  Perhaps you are starting over, moving, or just rearranging your home.  What ever is going on just know it is ok to release the past and that which is weighing you down or keeping you from flying high.  Letting go is part of the natural process and can be done with grace and ease.  Follow the tingle of excitement and anything that doesn't match that feeling, release it.

The yellow suggests that we follow the laughter and not the fear.  Sunny days are ahead if we do just that!  Follow our gut instinct and not the loud voices of fear in our mind that fill us with doubt and confusion.  This may be a time of enlightenment for many, others may be trying or learning new things to help them on their new path, and others yet may be finding themselves belly laughing and breathing deeply for the first time in years.
